Hi it’s almost three months since my ectopic. Was referred for an internal ultrasound and went today. Everything looks fine although doctor did see a small fibroid on same side as ectopic outside the uterus. At the time she said not to worry this would have no effect on ttc however once home she rang me and said if I haven’t conceived within 3 months I’ve to go back for another scan??
Feeling confused, should I be worried? It’s not likely that I’ll get pregnant within next 3 months!!

when I was diagnosed with the ectopic they also dropped in that I had a lime sized fibroid above my uterus. They implied it was nothing to worry about in comparison with the ectopic. Likewise my gyno has been pretty quiet about it - plays it down like it really doesn’t matter and is fairly common. I have read up a little bit about fibroids but I still have a lot of questions too. I read that being pregnant can make them larger - I’m hoping that is what happened to me. Also only if they are in certain places (especially inside the uterus) are they a problem for conceiving. I read too that they can make the pregnancy uncomfortable but not risky, and that they can break up after a pregnancy. It seems like its a thing that is one thing for one person and something else for another…

Will do not back again until 3 months though. My fibroid is only 3cm apparently x

I went to a gyno last week as I was experiencing pain and was worried. She said it was all fine and she couldn’t see a fibroid. When I was diagnosed with the ectopic it was the first I had heard about having one. Since then my normal gyno said she could see it but it was nothing to worry about - but she only saw it when I asked her to look. So basically I am still pretty confused!
