Fear of another ectopic

Hi there

Hope you are all ok. I recently had an ectopic pregnancy after TTC for 3 years.

I had left tube removed and after the surgery they told me my right tube was damaged too, and the tube was not smooth so my chances of another ectopic pregnancy is high.

I’m so scared and traumatised of having another ectopic pregnancy but scared of not trying at the same time.

I’ve asked my infertility team to refer me for IVF after having had 5 cycles of clomid but they are hesitant so I’m considering going private as NHS is one year wait due to covid.

My question is, has anyone else got pregnant with one damaged tube too? Just feel like I need some hope :frowning:

Thanks xx

Hi there,

I just wanted to say don’t give up hope!

Both my Fallopian tubes were damaged 7 years ago. I had corrective surgery on them and was told that my right tube was more damaged than my left. Four years after my surgery I fell pregnant naturally and had a successful pregnancy.

However, this year I unfortunately suffered an ectopic pregnancy with our second child back in April. I had emergency surgery and lost my right Fallopian tube.

It’s been traumatic but I hope my story gives you some hope. It CAN and WILL happen, you WILL have your baby! Xx
