Fat girl issues

I was skinny my first ectopic pregnancy it’s fricking killed me I’ve had 2 more since then but my new bloke who has 2 kids of his own thinks I am over weight I know my chances of having another ectopic being a bit fuller I have half a tube left on my left side my next pregnancy will be ectopic as I have had 3 my doctors have already prepared my to be infertile but I feel shit as he is saying if it happens it will be because of my extra pounds I’m dealing with ptsd from my last 3 ectopics they all have been completely different emotionally but have knocked me sideways

But I do not deserve to be blamed if it happens again which my chances are high l!!!

He just dont understand I guess as he had his other kids fine…. But I already feel shitty about it I don’t need to feel worse about it anymore is there such thing as pregnancy after 3rd ectopic??

On Kiri,

I am so sorry you feel this way.

I want to tell you right now, that there is sadly nothing we can do to prevent ectopic pregnancy from happening and I cannot express enough to you that you are not to blame.

Maintaining a healthy weight is good for our overall general health but sadly will not ensure that your next pregnancy will be successful. It maybe that your partner doesn’t really understand about ectopic pregnancy, and it’s emotional impact. Perhaps sit with him and look through our website of read some of the forum posts so he gains more of an understanding about ectopic pregnancy, it’s causes and how it makes us feel to through it.

We do hear from women who successfully conceive after multiple ectopic pregnancies but having had 3, I would advise being referred to a fertility specialist if you haven’t already.

You mention you are suffering from PTSD and this can happen after experiencing the trauma of ectopic pregnancy and baby loss. If you aren’t already, I would advise speaking to your doctor about referral to a specialist who.can help you with these feelings and emotions.

We will of course be here for you for as long as you need.

Sending much love,

Karen x
