Etopic pregnancy

Hi ladies,

I’m wondering if anyone can help back in November I had an etopic pregnancy, from the end of December my hormone levels had dropped and was told that everything was fine and I wouldn’t need to come back to the hospital so it resolved itself. I was still getting really bad pains so went to the doctors where they scanned me and said they could see a bleed next to my tube I had the etopic which will soon go. It’s been 3 months now and I’ve had a one day bleed throughout all of that time I’m due to have another scan to see if the bleed has gone but they wanted to re scan me after I had 3 months period which I was unaware of now waiting on bloods to be taken next week by the GP

I’m now concerned as to why I haven’t had one and if everything is ok? And if I can possibly still have a baby Has anyone had the same?

Hi Zoe_S123,

I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and loss, and now you are going through this worrying time. I’m not medically qualified to comment on your specific situation, but I wanted to let you know that we are here for you and are listening. Suffering an ectopic pregnancy is a physical and emotional trauma, and healing and recovery can take time. It’s good that you are being seen by your doctors, as that will be the best medical pathway for you. There are often so many reasons why our physical healing happens at different paces and speeds; it is not always linear.

You have already been through so much, and I encourage you to keep prioritizing your wellbeing and looking after yourself. You may want to keep a journal, noting any symptoms or pain, but also with a running list of questions which you can ask your doctors when you see them. It can be helpful to write these things down.

No matter what we are here for you for as long as you need.

With good wishes,

Michele
