Cramps in early pregnancy

I am 35 years old…I got pregnant in July 2019…I used to have cramps that time and no other symptom…Found out that my pregnancy was ectopic & in left tube…Tube was removed after rupture…Now I again tried in May 2020 & guess I might be pregnant…But I am having very light cramps now ( like premenstrual cramps). Such mild cramps happen during implantation also. But still I am getting worried

Anybody out there with similar experience

Dear manishaverma_17,

I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and loss and current concerns.

It can sometimes be difficult to distinguish between normal pains we experience, ovulation pain or something totally unrelated.

I would advise completely a pregnancy test on the date of your expected period. If it is positive and you are experiencing pains/cramps, please speak to a medical professional straight away.

If it is negative but you still think there is a possibility of pregnancy, please also discuss with a medical professional.

If your expected period arrives but you are still concerned about your usual pain or discomfort, I suggest keeping a pain diary noting when the pain appears, the intensity on a scale of 0-10 and anything that helps the pain eg resting, hot water bottle, paracetamol etc. Visiting your doctors with this information helps them to assess how best to manage your symptoms.

Sending much love,

Karen x
