Could it be a third ectopic? Or a rainbow baby

Hi everyone,

I am so anxious l just found out am pregnant after having an ectopic in June end of it. This was resolved through methotrexate. My doctor did say not to fall pregnant for at 2 months and it has only been about a month and l am so scared and worried. I did my HCG and it showed as 194 which l thought l would be 2 weeks pregnant but that’s too high. I can only wait until next week for an ultrasound and have to rely on HCG tests to monitor the pregnancy.

I had another ectopic pregnancy last year in July and l lost my right tube and ovary. Only left with the left tube and that’s why we choose methotrexate to save it and this happens. I didn’t use any contraceptives just pull and pray because my husband and l are separated.

Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you XO

Dear Aggie,

Whispered congratulations on your pregnancy,

I presume you are under a doctors care if you are having blood tests. One hCG levels isn’t enough to give a picture of his the pregnancy is progressing, so I am glad to hear that you have further follow up booked. I presume you have mentioned it is only a short time from having your methotrexate injection. If not, please be sure to do this so the same review your folate levels too as this is important for a developing foetus.

I will keep everything crossed for positive news, but I do also have to remind you to seek urgent medical advice with any pain or bleeding, or you feel dizzy and unwell, develop shoulder tip pain or rectal pressure.

Sending much love and positive thoughts,

Karen x

Hi all,

I am back, just came from my 4 weeks appointment with my gynae. First HCG was at 194, then 459 then yesterday 1290. We were able to see something in the uterus and nothing anywhere else so cleared for an ectopic at this point. I will be back in two weeks for the 6 weeks appointment. Keep me in your thoughts.

He said l should be fine as long as l am taking my folate supplements.

Thank you

Congratulations! I hope your journey continues as a very healthy one!

Hi,

It’s Aggie, l am back again. My heart is so full. We just hit our 13 weeks mark, and we had a Fetal specialist appointment on the 17th of October and baby is growing and everything is perfectly fine. Thank you so much for you encouraging words and support.

The only issue is that l am at high risk of preeclampsia, but l will do my best to manage stress.

Tried uploading an image, but can’t. Baby’s heartbeat is strong at 184 and we are so excited to meet him/her soon:blush:

Will keep you posted at 16 weeks.

Dear Aggie,

This is just wonderful news, I’m so happy for you and thank you so much for taking the time to keep us updated.

I know after experiencing loss, it can be harder to relax with subsequent pregnancies, so I hope you are taking time needed just for you.

I am looking forward to heading now the 16 week milestone goes,

Sending much love,

Karen x
