Can't seem to get pregnant again

Hey Ladies,

I have had an ectopic pregnancy in June which solved itself therefore I didn’t need to have injection or surgery for it. The way I found out about my ectopic was 6 days after my period where I started bleeding again and thought it was unusual and got worried so i took a pregnancy test which turned positive and i was shocked as 6 days before I had my periods  so I went to hospital wherethey told me i could be having a miscarriage atold me to get a scan check so I went to do that the next day. The doctor checked me and said there was nothing in my uterus but they could see that on my left side i had an ectopic pregnancy. I then hadto have blood tests to see if it was solving itself or not but it did. The doctor told me I should wait before trying to conceive again so I waited for 2 months and I have been trying since and it has been more than 4 months and still nothing :frowning: I can’t seem to get pregnant anymore, this wait now is even more difficult when you so badly want to have a baby :frowning: Is it harder to get pregnant after an ectopic even though the pregnancy solved itself through miscarriage? I really don’t know what is going on with my body. First pregnancy was not planned and i got pregnant and now that i am planning to have a baby it is more difficult :frowning:

Hi Sindy,

So sorry to hear you had to go through this. I had ectopic in June but lost my tube. I had a consultation with gynaecologist which assured me that sometimes even for the healthiest couples it can take up to a year to conceive. He explained that the more I will stress about not getting pregnant the longer it might take as body during the stress gets a signal that it’s not a good environment for the baby to grow. I wish I could tell you how to relax as I am in the same boat as you. Have faith. We will get there. Sending loads of baby dust to you. Might be a good idea to talk to the girls on these forums who went through the same. It does help me a lot.

Take care xxx

Hi there,

Sorry for such a late reply as I have been trying to keep myself busy and not to stress to much about getting pregnant again and keeping away from forums about ectopic at the time helped keep my mind stress free for a while so I got on with life…but here I am again I got pregnant again this november 2015 but unfortunatly it was another ectopic and this time had to have my left tube removed  So had tu have emergency surgery a week ago which i am still recovering from, so i dont know what is going to happen now, surely it will be harder to get pregnant with one tube as it took me a year with both tubes, i really want a healthy baby :frowning: i hope all you ladies wishes come true too as we are all going through the same thing xxxx

Hi I’m sorry for your sad news, I had emergency surgery 3 weeks ago and recovering still. I had my right tube removed. The doctor has since told me that it doesn’t half your chances of pregnancy because apparently the ovaries move about so your other tube picks up for the ovary. Sounds strange I know! They do say there is more of a chance of ectopic but I think this is if the tube isn’t removed as it may be damaged. Hope this helps a little. I’m an emotional roller coaster right now so it’s nice to read others posts who can relate to what I’m going through!!
