new to this and looking for some advice, i suffered a miscarriage 5 year ago and went on to suffer an ectopic pregnancy at the end of october 2014 which resulted in my left tube being removed, doctors suggested my tube had been previously damaged from my miscarriage i suffered, been told my right tube and ovaries look healthy and okay, are my chances of becoming pregnant again very slim, nothing really been explained, how long do you normally wait after an ectopic pregnancy before you can become pregnant again?
feeling very down about the whole situation.
thanks
I am so sorry to hear that, I just had my first pregnancy that ended up into an Ectopic surgery 2 weeks ago and I am still having a hard time. Days after my doctor told me to wait 2 months, then last week she told me to wait 3. She said that the body/area needs time to heal properly. I would say once you are having normal cycles and are good to go on your vitamins maybe start trying agin?! I’m sure you have hated at the waiting, but my doctor told me that waiting is better, rushing could cause problems. I wish you nothing but the best and hope you go one to have a normal pregnancy!!! Thinking about you!!! I just joined this forum yesterday and I’m hoping it helps!
So sorry to hear about your losses, my thoughts are with you x
I also suffered an ectopic at the end of last year (Dec) and my left tube was also removed. I had to have some tests (HSG) on the other tube and they said it wasnt blocked and looked ok so we should try again. We have just found out (a couple of days ago) that we are pregnant again, its very early stages of course and I am very nervous about another ectopic but hope it offers you some reassurance that it is possible to get pregnant again soon after.
Wishing you lots of luck x
thankyou everyone really does mean alot hearing your responses,x
