Aww I just came on for a wee chat but our thread is gone :frowning: It must have been neglected! How are you all? Love seeing your photo’s on fb but it’s nice to have somewhere more private to come too! So af finally came to visit last week :shock: About time eh! Anyone else still waiting! I haven’t missed it! Happy that I’m up and running again though and definitely going to properly start trying for another :smiley: It’s totally not as stressful this time…well not yet anyway! I’m going to start temping as that was the best way to track everything last time, wish I’d just been doing it from the beginning! Not thinking about how awful pregnancy might be because if I think about it I’ll remember how horrendous it was and I’ll probably keep my legs firmly shut and that’s not going to give Little L a wee brother or sister is it!

oh hello! great minds lol

good luck with TTC! yes i can imagine it would be more much more relaxed trying this time. I am too wrapped up in Danny to think about it. i expect we will get the letter from the clinic in a couple of months asking us about our embies and do we want to pay for further storage (is a nice way of putting it i suppose). Cross that bridge when we come to it but I’m pretty sure we are sticking with our wee boy and that will be it.

Danny has had his wee operation for his undescended testicle and it was a traumatic day but everything worked out fine, they found it and put it where it should be. I’ve been for my consultation about the state I’m left in after childbirth and there’s nothing they can do for me as I am too young and it’s not bad enough to risk them botching things up further with surgery so I am stuck like this, another reason I think Number 2 is off the agenda. Anyway I am more than happy with my lot!

Danny I could talk about all day, he’s 10 months now, crawling, cruising holding onto the furniture, “into everything” as they say, happy little chap, loves to chase his ball around and go and collect things for me, likes certain books, not interested in others, mad for finger food, loves the dogs and does a bashful smile when you ask for a kiss then opens his mouth, tongue out and goes in for the kill.

Aw that is lovely you’ve come to a decision…I’d imagine ivf is hard enough without having a baby to look after too. I’m like you in that I love Lydia so much…she is enough for us and it’s really hard to imagine having another but if we can, I’d love to give her a brother or sister :slight_smile:

So pleased Danny is well after his wee op. Brave wee soul. I’m so sorry about all you’ve had to suffer with since having Danny. It’s enough to put you off. I’m so pleased I had a section…I’d definitely have a section if there’s a next time too! My back will never be the same again after the epidural though but I can live with it. It’s not sore, more uncomfortable and annoying. The weird sensations do come every day but like I said it’s nothing I can’t deal with.

Danny sounds so fab…I love your pics on fb :slight_smile: Lydia such a happy wee girl too, so smiley and like Danny when you ask for a kiss her mouth is wide open…quite slobbery at times! It’s so amazing how quickly she’s growing and developing. She’s very movey movey now and it get’s me all emotional seeing how independent she’s getting! She loves being sung to and loves ice lollies! Still just the two teeth…she’s had them for over 3 months now and still no sign of any more! Oh and she loves handbags!! haha! Actually she loves leather…more specifically chewing on leather! Everything goes in to her mouth…no need to buy any more toys…she’ll choose leather/keys/cutlery before any toy!

hi Ladies

I was just in bed thinking it will be birthday time soon and so thought it would be lovely to hear an update from everyone and how our little miracles are doing.

I love seeing all the pictures on facebook its great seeing some of the babies growing up.

i’m sorry to hear that baby d not only had a huge impact on your life but on your body too!! Great news about his op being such a success though well done brave Danny.

Isnt it funny that everyone seems to be thinking or deliberating having another whatever your decisions i think we can all say how grateful we are to be in the position that we are.

Shelise good luck trying for baby num 2!! I cant wait to hear all about the ttc process but like you say the pressure is off this time round. Lydia is a little beauty and i love seeing your little family pics.

tmdmung i’m glad you have come to a decision about the IVF i cant imagine how hard that must be to go through.

As for me i would love another but not quite yet, i am heading back to uni in September for another year and will start thinking about it after that so hoping to try later next year. I would have another tomorrow but financially and future wise it just doesn’t work at the moment fingers crossed for next year. I am back at work now full time in order to pay back my maternity money but i must say i’m not loving it i miss her terribly and am a little envious that mr hinder gets to stay home the whole day and enjoy her

A little update about Iris, shes great very smiley and very laid back continues to be a great sleeper like her mum and goes from 8.30- 9 most of the time apart from illness and teething. After showing her all of Dannys moving we finally had a breakthrough and i now cant keep the little madam still she crawls everywhere and pulls to stand but not as advanced as Danny with the walking round furniture. She is a little chatter box and likes to say dada muma cat hiya and fish. I just cant imagine my life without her and if i’m not lucky enough to have another my life is already complete with her.

Would love to hear what all the other baby’s and mummy’s are doing!

wow Iris has lots of words :smiley: Danny says some ‘words’ for his toys in the same sing-song voice that i say them but most of his consonants are ‘da’ and ‘ba’ still so e.g tractor is ‘da-doh’ and the dog Rab is “bab” he knows quite a few words as i can send him off to fetch things or he looks at things when i say the word but he does not say them. ‘cat’ and ‘fish’ sounds very advanced, i don’t think he’ll be saying those for a while :lol:

Ha ha i think shes making up for her lack of movement! She likes the ‘t’ sound at the end of cat and the same for fish so they are more like cttttttt and fshhhhhhhh. She doesn’t seem to have the same understanding as Danny if i asked her to get me something she would just look at me as if to say yeah right and then carry on with her own thing. They are funny aren’t they.

can you remember who’s birthday is first?

no but i think there was at least one before danny who was August 17th, Kitty-mae is July I think - maybe it’s even passed?!!

Wow how time has past, its coming up to the year birthdays for some… Wow! I hope kitty Mae had a great birthday the other day, and I hope Danny has a great one coming up.

Shellise, I’m in the same boat as you, trying again… Love the thought of another one. Are your periods the same lenght as they were before? Hope everything is going well for you. Have you gone back to work again?

Angie, so pleased everything is going well with you… Pleased his operation went well, I know a person that had the same thing and is now infertile… So it’s great you did go ahead with it! It’s amazing that Danny knows so many words… That’s obviously a forte for him.

Hinder wow 8.30-9 that very nice! Give you a proper rest, lovely to hear she knows so many words, and is so smiley. It’s so rewarding isn’t it!

AFM and Benjamin, we are a great team, he is very smiley and recently started crawling. Managed to break a vase of mine, which made me realise very quick that anything I don’t want broken shouldn’t be down low anymore. David and I are getting married at the end of the month, and making our family official… Which I can’t wait for. I have my hen do on sat, hope its not going to be too embarrassing etc. would love a second child, starting to not be careful again, so fingers crossed I can be relaxed about everything this time (not sure how easy that will be!)

Lovely to hear from you Shellise, Mimis, Hinder and Angie, so nice to hear that you are all happy and settled with babies!

I haven’t been on in a while as kittymae is keeping me sooooo busy :lol:

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding Mimis! So wonderful… We also got married at the end of August!!! You must be busy preparing it all, sooo exciting for you!

Lovely to hear that some of you are considering having another baby, I m the same, very broody already :lol: only just got my period back though! Good luck to all of you that are trying!!!

Kitty-Mae had her first birthday last month on the 12th!!! She is wonderful, she makes my heart melt, just looking at her!

She doesn’t walk on her own yet, but crawls, goes up the stairs( so we have had to put the stair gate up), walks holding on to tables and things…

She waves, points at things, shakes her head yes or no, says daddy, mama, makes cute little noises, loves looking at baby pictures, whinges saying ah wwwe quite emphatically when not happy, is starting to eat with a spoon( quite messily), sits in the big bath and splashes about, loves looking at books and turning the pages herself…so many little things :smiley:

She loves going for rides in her pushchair but bursts out crying if anybody looks at her for too long or starts talking to her!!!

She has had her 12/13 months immunisations last week and is yet to have her 12 months review, this month.

No idea how much she weighs but she feels heavy to me, and she has the cutest chubbiest little legs!!!

She has 4 teeth and some more on the way!

Can’t believe it’s already been a year since we ve had our little bundles, time really does fly doesn’t it?

What a shame I am not on Facebook, would have loved to see how big all your little ones are now, anyway, the main thing is that everyone is doing so well :smiley:

We might have some happy news from all of you ttc very soon, hope so anyway :lol:

Oh yeah kitty also does that wide open mouth kiss, so funny! She also does proper ones when far away!!!

She likes finger food, never really likes babyish purees and mash, even when she was starting with solids, she much preferred chewing her food, even with no teeth :lol:

She hates being dressed when crawling as it seems to get in the way of her movements, so she often sits and tugs at her clothes meaning, mum get those things off me :lol: it’s a good thing that’s its summer time!!! So she crawls around the house in her nappy, bless!!!

I could talk about her for ever!!! :lol: :smiley:

I’m very excited to hear of any new baby announcements soooooo exciting.

i fall in love with iris more and more each day but often think of the pregnancy that never was

but think i wouldn’t have my beautiful daughter but i take lots of comfort from you guys and love the fact that you all know how special these little people are.

cant wait for more birthday news and a big happy birthday to those that have past and a big congrats to the mummys we’ve made it through a whole year. Well done us

Kitty-Mae had her one year review yesterday, she is doing well, 20lbs 7oz so a little cherubic baby, still on the small side but nothing to worry about, must take after mummy, a mini me!!! :lol:

Her development is fine, they asked loads of questions about what she can do etc…routine really…

Mimis, I am not getting married this year, its all done and dusted for me, as we got married in 2006!!! Hope you enjoy all the preparations and that it doesnt stress you out!!! That was all very exciting getting everything sorted and choosing the dress and finalising all the details. I really hope you have a brilliant day, and how lovely that baby Benjamin will be there to share this with you, even more special :smiley:

Hiya Danny had a lovely birthday thanks, very low key and that was enough excitement for us! Daddy missed it being away but there will be other birthdays.

He has his 12 month jabs on weds coming and review i suppose, I don’t know what he weighs but he seems quite a lump to me!

Danny looks like he will be ready to walk on his own very soon, and then there will be no stopping him :lol:

Glad he had a lovely birthday with mummy!!! Kitty’s was very low key as well, not that they know what is going on really… Just a home made cake, a few pressies, and photos with mum dad and grandparents and thats it!!!

I’m not sure that danny is ready to walk on his own for a while, he won’t let go of things yet, even as little as my finger taking barely any weight but if i take my finger away, plonk! down he goes :lol:

he got his jabs yesterday which was awful but all forgotten now unless we get the side effects in time, there was nothing else though, no review or anything. he weighs 23lb 4oz and is 78cm tall
