I had an ectopic post IVF.
I was just wondering if anyone else has? Did you have fresh or frozen transfer? 3 day or 5 day blastocyst transfer?

Hi There,
I had an ectopic following a fresh embryo transfer at day 5.
I ended up losing a tube which has been hard on top of “unexplained infertility”. We are lucky to frozen embryos but I am terrified of having another ectopic on transfer.
I hope your recovery is going ok. What has been your experience - if you are happy to share?
Hi hun I’m so sorry to hear your experience.
Last week I went for my 6wk scan after day 5 fresh transfer and they told me it was in my tube. After 5 days in hospital trying to manage pain I was released without surgery.
I went into a numb phases and wasn’t taking anything in and I feel like I’m in limbo waiting for the hospital report to hit my GP so I can read everything.
We one got one blasto so we’d have to do it all again. I’m so scared but I know it’s what we want.
Happy to chat sending love x

Hey,
I had an ectopic over a year ago, but I ask now because I’m contemplating another fresh ivf transfer but don’t want the same experience, pretty much miscarrying for 10 brutal weeks. Embryo glue is what I’ve been tried to use.
Sorry for your experience, it’s so hard.

So sorry you are going through this. How are you doing now? Released without surgery? Are you doing expectant management.
I was numb and in shock the whole experience, took 10 long weeks to get a hcg of 0. All after ivf is so heartbreaking.
I’m about to go through ivf again.

Hi. I had surgery for an ectopic pregnancy in January this year following my 2nd round of IVF. It was a fresh 5 day transfer.
After a 4 year struggle to get pregnant with unexplained infertility, you couldn’t write what has since happened.
I was trying to get in the right headspace for IVF again as well as the physical recovery. I have one frozen embryo. I then found out I was pregnant without IVF at the start of May! Sadly, it was another ectopic pregnancy and I had to have emergency surgery yet again so soon after the first one xx
