I hope someone will join me soon!
I had a scan today, they measured me as 10+5. They didn’t do much as I was under the 11 weeks and want me to go back next week for official dating scan. Sounds fab to me to get another scan again so soon Little baby looked very cute wriggling around
Today’s due date was May 20th…could change next week though. X
So happy for you Shellise. Hopefully some others may reach 12 weeks and join you.
Much love,
EPT Host 13

Hiya Shellise,
This is my first post. I’ve been on this forum for a while but haven’t actually posted anything yet. I had an EP two years ago and lost my right tube. We TTC for over a year but nothing happened so we went to a fertility clinic. Were told that IVF would be our best option and went ahead with that in August this year. I can’t believe how lucky we’ve been but it seems to have worked first time !! Am now 12 weeks pregnant and my due date is the 13th May.
It’s really nice to find someone else on here with a similar due date. Have you also been worried about pretty much everything? My EP has definitely made me a lot less relaxed about being pregnant. I’ve had a few early scans already and so far everything is looking good. I have another one next week (didn’t have one at 12 weeks) and if all is well then I am hoping I can relax a little more and just enjoy being pregnant
How are you feeling so far? Have you had much morning sickness?
Ahhhh so so lovely to hear form you
We’ve similar-ish stories in that I had my ep over two years ago too and lost my right tube…February 2011. Worst time of my life but it’s amazing what can happen in a couple of years! I had a miscarriage 3 months after my ep but then I fell pregnant again 6 months later and now have a beautiful little girl She’s almost 14 months old now. We were also on the pathway to getting help and I’d just been prescribed clomid to take on my next cycle but there ended up being no need as I fell pregnant that cycle
IVF is so successful, I love hearing all the happy IVF endings. CONGRATULATIONS
I had a scan at 6 weeks then another between 10 and 11 weeks and was so surprised to be offered another one next week where I’ll be 12 + 1 so I’m really looking forward to that. Due date for me is May 20th but I’m likely to have a planned section this time round so it’ll be earlier than that. When I was pregnant with my daughter I was so sure everything was going to work out I didn’t worry too much, I just decided I didn’t want to go down that road of worrying too much as I felt that that would do more harm to the baby so I just relaxed…time went by very slow though and I was very ill
I was diagnosed with hyperemisis gravidarum. I have to say though I was quite worried up until the 12 week scan even though I’d had 2 previous early scans. It’s just so hard to believe that you’re pregnant and seeing as you can’t feel the baby the early it’s really hard to keep believe that they’re still in there! Once you feel the baby move though it gives massive reassurances and I think that’s probably when I chilled out the most. This time I haven’t had time to worry because I’ve been so busy running around after my toddler and when I’m not doing that I’m throwing up! But I do understand how worrying it is especially after what we’ve been through…all I can say is try not to worry too much and that we’re always here to help and chat when something does worry you
I’m doing ok…I’m sick every day though, its been awful but I have to just get on with it this time! I was sick right up until the very end with my daughter but I’m hoping it might stop soon this time…one can live in hope! What about you? Are you suffering with morning sickness? X
Oh wow, it really sounds like you’ve had an eventful 2 years. Its lovely to hear that this is your second pregnancy thats in the right spot after your EP. Congratulations ! Its so reassuring to hear success stories.
I think you’re right that I’ll stop worrying once I can feel my little one move. It’s difficult when you have to wait for the next scan to reassure yourself that everything is ok. Although I can’t complain, had a scan at 6, 8, 9 and at 11 weeks so have had plenty of reassurance. I developed OHSS (ovarian hyper stimulation syndrome) through the IVF process and my right ovary has been very big and painful. That’s why I’ve had so many scans… Been amazing to see my little bean grow so much each time and in the last two scans it was wriggling and moving about. Incredible!
I’m sorry to hear you’ve been sick a lot. Sounds like its been a bit easier this time round though. I’ve been very lucky in that respect and have only had a bit of nauseous for a few weeks but even that seems to have disappeared now. With me it’s been much more pain related to my ovary (had to have two weeks off work as i could hardly walk) and severe bloatedness. Also been very, very tired. Can just sleep all the time now.
Hope your morning sickness gets better soon xx
Hi there
Had my 12 week scan today, it was brill…so, so lovely to see little wriggling baby again Dated today as 11+6 and Due Date is 22 May. Got some lovely pics and saw our consultant briefly after too. So that’s me now until my 20 week scan, I’m sure I’ll get the date for that through soon. Midwife did all the usual checks too…haven’t put on any weight but with the vomiting I expected that. Not at all worried about it this time as last time I was lighter at the end of my pregnancy than I was at the very beginning  Had my flu jag today too! We’ve started telling people today and it’s just really nice to have reached this stage safely. Hope you’re well Turquoise
I feel like now I’ve reached this milestone the journey can really begin

Hi Shellise,
That’s lovely to hear! Great news!!
I also had a scan yesterday - it is amazing seeing the babyand its grown so much in such a short amount of time. We could even start to see the ribs. The lady who did my scan seemed to enjoy taking pictures, so we came away with 5 pictures to take home ! Have also started to tell people now, which feel really nice. Although my family and closest friends alreay knew as we had told them that we were going to try IVF. My work seems really supportive, too which is great and they are happy for me to have time off for appointments etc.
I think I must be a week ahead of you as I was exactly 13 weeks yesterday. I had the NT screening done, which I would not recommend as it just seems to cause more worry. The scan was fine and everything looked great but my blood test wasn’t so good so that has brought my risk for Down Syndrome down to 1:191. Was pretty worried at first but when I spoke to the Midwife again today she said it was mainly because I had fairly high beta HCG level, which has actually made me relax a bit again. My right ovary is still pretty big from the IVF and I have a few cycsts there, which is why I think my levels would be higher than normal… Did you also have the NT screening? I don’t think I would do it again as I’ve read that it causes a lot of worry for couples where the baby is perfectly healthy.
Anyway, I’ve decided not to worry anymore. I’m just enjoying that everything looked good on the scan and as you said now that I’ve reached the milestone the journey can begin
My next scan is in December when I’m 18 weeks.
I hope you’re morning sickness has passed now and you’re feeling better xx
Sorry, I meant to say my risk for DS went up to 1:191 - I think it’s normally around 1:400 at my age
Congrats ladies hope the new year pased without too much stress for you xxxxx shellise I really hope sickness does not last like last time. Hugs xxx

Hi Shellise, I don’t know if you’ll remember me but I had my ep a month after you and had my son in Oct 2012.
