Advice please?

Hi everyone

So after11months I’ve got my bfp after my ectopic with right tube removed, I didn’t really have any issues last time apart from a few days before the surgery where I had an awful sharp pain just before 6 weeks when I walked, went to the loo sat down etc.

So far I’ve had blood taken at 4 weeks 332 and 4+2 587 the hospital said it had to be at minimum 60% rise which mine is about 70% I think so I’m now in for a scan Thursday I’ll be 5 weeks.

My question is really those that have been pregnant again did you get pinching pains they are now where near as bad as the pain I had last time just niggling and they come and go is this the normal pains people get? I do feel quite bloated which I didn’t last time i didn’t think my stomach felt different at all where as this time it does.

Any advice would be appreciated xx

Hi Vix. I did have pinching pains. With my ectopic (also right side, ending with tube removal), it was pretty well just on the right side. With this pregnancy, the pains moved. Sometimes they were in the middle, sometimes on the left, sometimes on the right. It could be crampy, sharp, or nothing.

Ok thanks mine are in different places as well as sometimes it feels like they are on the side without the tube. I’m just soon edge after last time xx

Hello vix. So sorry about your ectopic. I had right ectipic and tube removal in June and I’m now 21 weeks pregant.

The first few weeks after getting your BFP are terrifying and I’m sure you notice every single pain, ache, twinge and weird sensation.

Just have to say that I had terrible stabbing pains in my left hand side with this pregancy and was sure I was having another ectopic I was terrified it was all in my groin. But baby was in right place.

It’s prob a mixture of general pregnancy twinges, worry and scarring pains if you had surgery. I worried myself sick and was a right mess trust me do t go down that route!!

I’m sure after what we have been through are senses are extra heightened, but just think your body is doing amazing things and growing a baby. Things are going to be pulled and stretched and everything is changing.

I know I can’t truly reassure you, but don’t get yourself to stressed out. You need to stay positive and try to enjoy being pregnant. And in regards to bloating I bloated straight away! And couldn’t fit in my normal jeans at 8 weeks pregnant due to bloating! Don’t get stressed over every sign, its amazing how our bodies change!

Wish you the best of luck for your pregnacy.
