Hello ladies first off sorry for your loss it’s a long road ahead to recover and iam not even there yet… I had 2 ectopics this year so no how you all feel…
I had a lap/dye with hysterscopy and (was to suppose to have a right tube removal) yesterday roughly 6 months after my second ectopic. Had to stay in due to extreme sickness and pain.
I spoke to my consultant this morning just before discharge and everything went extremely well best of all I got to keep both my tubes the dye spilled right through both of them I am in complete shock as both my ectopic were caught in my right tube. My uterus was completely normal they did take a biopsy shall get the results in a couple of weeks, no endo was found and both ovaries were perfectly healthy they even gave me some pictures.
My concern is that even though I had 2 ectopics in my right tube and the dye test came back clear is there a chance this can happen again?? I no they can’t tell if the cilla is ok well I am not sure you can check via a lap. Obviously I am in early stages of recovery so no baby planning for a good 6-12 months.
I am really overwhelmed by all this as I had come to terms with my tube being removed and to hear the news my insides are normal is a massive shock still obviously I no how lucky I am and so grateful but I am so fearful it will happen again.
As you have mentioned, the test cannot determine what the internal villi of the Fallopian tube look like and unfortunately, cannot provide complete peace of mind. There is sadly no way to prevent ectopic pregnancy from happening again. However early scanning can mean that it can be caught early and provide some peace of mind that you are under medical care in the early stages.
I will be sending positive thoughts your way for when you do start ttc once again.
Sending much love,
Karen x

Hi, hope you’re feeling better. That’s great news about keeping your tube. I don’t have any advice as such but wanted to reach out as I’ve been having similar anxieties. I had my first ectopic 6 months ago. I’ve been experiencing pain in the right tube since it and was treated with MTX. I’ve had clots in my periods. The doctors hadn’t taken my pain seriously and eventually I had a hsg which I booked privately which showed a blockage in my right tube/ I’m now awaiting a GP referal to a fertility clinic.
We are at the time we can try again and I’m so scared. Scared it’ll happen. Again, scared I won’t ever have another baby, I wake up crying in thee night. I was doing fine untill this news about my tube. I’m trying to stay positive, and I’m sending lots of positive vibes for your future pregnancies when you are ready x
