I’m so scared, I had an ectopic in May and was treated with methotrexate. Was over joyed to find out I was pregnant again but within a couple of days I started spotting brown discharge. This has been on and off but over the past few days it has got worse and at times there is quite a lot and tinged with red. I have also had cramping, a dull ache similar to period pain, it is all over but seems a little worse on my right side (my ectopic was on my left last time).
I’m an emotional wreck right now, can’t believe this might be happening again. I’m booked in for a scan on 7 January as they won’t be able to see anything before then.
If anyone out there has had a similar experience I would really like to hear from you.
Hi Hun it’s scary isn’t it? I’m 9.3 weeks and have been cramping and having huge gushes of brown blood since the day I found out. Even had a huge brown bleed 2 nights ago. Had 2 scans and baby was fine… I’m still scared now as my first baby died at 9 weeks preg and didn’t know til 13 weeks but all looks great so far. I really hope it’s the same for you keep us updated xx
Hi hun, sending you hugs. I pray that it would work out for you. Lots of women have bleeding in the first trimester. You should get it checked out earlier. Please don’t wait. I had ectopic at almost 6 weeks in June and had tube removed. I started spotting and went straight to emergency and they’ll have no choice just to give you a scan. They should see at least sac if they would do vaginal scan. I would go earlier. At least you would know what’s happening. Lots of love. Hang on there xxx
Thank you so much to both of you for your replies. I went back to my doctor yesterday as my pain got worse and she sent me straight to hospital, they did a scan and could see the sac in the right place, I’m so relieved just to know that it is not ectopic, they said it was too early to see baby yet but have booked me back in on 12 Jan so fingers crossed everything will be developing normally. I’m still bleeding but it’s good to know that this can be normal.
