As I sit here writing this I am in emergency. Last night I got a dull pain on my right side. I had an ectopic 3 months ago on my left side. I am concerned as to what it may mean? Could it just be because of the surgery (all my incisions are on my right side) that I am having the cramping?
I hear at 4 weeks its to early for a scan? I really hope not
I driving myself crazy.
Hi there, I completely understand your worry and I feel exactly the same. I am approx 8 weeks pregnant after a mc in dec 13 and an ectopic in feb 14 so this is my third pregnancy in a year. I have tummy ache on the right hand side often and it was my left tube that was removed.
Health professionals have told me it’s normal as your scar tissue is moving and expanding and I think it’s right that it’s on the opposite side of the tube you lost. I went to my dr who was wonderful and I have been seen by the early pregnancy clinic three times and have another reassurance scan in two weeks at 10 weeks.
I would let your doctor know as they will want to scan you to make sure the baby is in the right place and you can have some peace of mind. Fingers crossed and hope this helps x
Thanks so much for your response! I really appreciate it! And u were right, its due ti dcar tissue.
Today in the hospital the did a transvaginal ultrasound and saw the saw in my UTERUS!!
I am sooo beyond happy, and I was surprised because everywhere I was reading that 4 weeks is to early for them to see anything. My hcg levels were 810, which the doc said was low, but upon googling I realize he really doesn’t know what he’s talking about. For four weeks thats high enough. I follow up with my Dr teusday to take another blood test.
They didn’t detect heart best yet, but that’s cause it was too early. I am so thrilled that I can atleast rule out an ectopic this time.
Its very hard getting over an ectopic pregnancy, I wish I had found this site sooner.
Hi and congratulations on your news and that’s brilliant that the pregnancy is in the right place.
I’m in a really similar position to you both. I had a miscarriage in June then an ectopic in September this year and had my right tube removed. Now just two months later and I’ve recently discovered I’m pregnant again (7 weeks tomorrow) It’s been an emotional time and like you I’ve had strange pains similar to my ectopic but scans have so far shown everything is in the right place. I’m keeping everything crossed that it’s 3rd time lucky. Two days ago I had a scan and saw the heart beat which was really emotional
It’s really lovely to know that other people are going through the same thing. Let me know how you are both getting on and when you’re due?
Nobody apart from my husband knows yet so it’s nice to share the news with someone else.
Dear Miffymurray and Veerod and Marsh
Whispered congratulations to all of you. We wish you well and send our love.
