Hi i am new to this site it was recommended by my nurse. I have 1 daughter from a previous relationship who is 9 years old and my first ectopic was 6 years ago with the previous partner and i had my left tube removed. Friday i went for a scan and they discovered another ectopic at 6 weeks pregnant and unfortunately i had to have my right tube removed also. My husband doesnt have any children so we are both really distraught. We had a miscarriage in july and thought this was another. Has anyone been in this situation before? Or any advice on how to support my husband
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancies and losses, To experience one loss is difficult to deal with multiple losses is heartbreaking and my heart truly goes out to you both.
I believe there is strict criteria for being referred for fertility treatment on the NHS, however I am aware that this criteria changes depending on where you live, so it would be worthwhile talking to your GP.
If your partner wishes, we do have a Mens Space forum and for you both, an Alternative Routes to Motherhood. Assisted Conception. Adoption, forum that you could look at whenever you feel ready.
The forums are a safe space to share, ask questions, or to vent. They are filled with people who have been through similar experiences and journeys, and we are here for you for as long as you need.
Above all, be kind to yourselves. Allow time to grieve, to heal both physically and emotionally.
Sending much love,
Karen x
