Evening all, i am very new to this site and am currently in hospital being monitored for a second ectopic pregnancy. I had my first in august 2016 which resulted in surgery and loss of right tube. I feel in november but experiences early MC and last night told another pregnancy in 6 months is in my left tube. I am devastated as was told my left tube looked healthy. Hopefully they will treat with injection and save tube. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there any hope for the future? Claire
Dear Claire,
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancies and losses. To experience one loss is difficult to deal with multiple losses is heartbreaking and my heart truly goes out to you.
You have been through a huge amount in such a short space of time and it is very normal to feel overwhelmed. From your words, I can imagine how frightening the experience must have been and I am sorry you have had to go though this.
You will need space to process what has happened and it can feel isolating. With us here at the Trust, we have been through similar experiences and I can understand how lonely it feels. You have friends here and please do continue to lean on us for as long as you need.
We do hear from women who have successfully conceived following multiple losses, there is hope for the future.
There is no time frame for how long it takes us to heal emotionally and it is completely normal to feel anxious about the future. We will never forget our pregnancy or babies but we can learn to accept what has happened and crucially understand that it wasn’t our fault.
Sending much love and warm hugs,
Karen x

I had a patient back in May 2017. That was 8 weeks pregnant and had a history of ectopic but was able to keep her tube.
At 8 weeks she was having pain and went to e.r. she then found out she had a live ectopic pregnancy on the opposite side of her 1st ectopic.
She went immediately to surgery. That was the last i heard of her… Until…
Last week a familiar looking couple comes in i look at her chart realize her history. She was 10 weeks pregnant with baby. She and her husband was happy and baby was snug as a bug in the proper place. That day back in May the surgeon took both tube saying the non ectopic side was blocked. This 10 week baby was via ivf. They were happy and baby looked great.
Best of luck
Thank you ladies having 2 ectopics in 6 months and a miscarriage leads me to believe i am able to conceive however my body is not able to get baby to where it needs to be.
