Where would the pain be

Hi all in new here i recently went to the EPU the done a scan and said the couldn’t see the pregnancy it’s possible to early or ectopic or embryo did not connect properly.

But no other answers so I’m wondering where would the pain be i have had it approx 2 weeks it seems better not as constant but where about on my body would pain be? As when I Google nothing come up with specific area

Mostly I didn’t have pain until the end where it was left side. Think ectopic pain at the end tends to be one sided right or left if it’s in the Fallopian tube. But I had cramps and an elastic band pulling feeling in my left hip.

Hi Amyp1989,

I’m so sorry to hear that you are going through such a worrying time. You can find a full list of the symptoms of an ectopic pregnancy on the Trust’s website, https://www.ectopic.org.uk/patients/sym … diagnosis/.

It is not uncommon in pregnancy to experience a period like ache in your lower tummy and back. The following however should be investigated: one-sided pain in your tummy which may be persistent or intermittent, which means it can come and go. The pain may have begun suddenly or gradually, a generalised discomfort with bloating and a feeling of fullness (not associated with eating) when lying down, particularly in women who have already had a child, and significant lower abdominal and/or back pain. As well, you may experience bowel problems or if ruptured, shoulder tip pain.

I know this time of waiting can be particularly frustrating. It’s normal to be anxious and to want answers. Be sure to keep monitoring your symptoms and if you have any concerns of increasing pain follow up with your doctors. Certainly, if you have any signs of rupture (including shoulder tip pain), please do to go to your A&E.

Please also know that we are here for you on these Boards and will do our best to help answer your questions.

With good wishes,

Michele
