I hope it is ok to post this here, it is a poem…
I wrote this for my sister in law after she lost her little boy to meningitis (she had 6 years if infertility battles just as some of the ladies here have had to face) he contraceted the disease at 11 days old and although he fought back and lived for another 14 months he lost his final battle and another star was born…Goodnight Toby whereever you shine on us now, you were loved little man.
I also thought it might help dear ClaireBear as she too planted a rose for her lost little one…
Where Roses Grow
Where roses grow there is no pain
No facing all the gloom
Where roses grow the tears will fall
And keep the buds in bloom
This little tender flower
Which only grows in hope
That it might bring a little smile
To lift you, help you cope
Where roses grow there is now peace
Where chaos once did reign
Now silence brings you ever closer
To seeing him once again
You see them growing from your door
Through each and every season
Wishing it was him you saw
And know what was the reason
Why did it have to be my turn
To face this awful day
But look the petals lift once more
And with you he will stay
Where roses grow we feel no pain
Only love from all those tears
They were not shed in vain you know
But fell to help your fears
Where roses grow we see such love
When petals see the sun
They dance and seem to wave at times
Look, he is still having fun…
