Some nice poems

These are a few poems i thought would maybe help some of you i hope they help you.

To The Child In My Heart (Author unknown)

O precious, tiny, sweet little one

You will always be to me

So perfect, pure, and innocent

Just as you were meant to be.

We dreamed of you and of your life

And all that it would be

We waited and longed for you to come

And join our family.

We never had the chance to play,

To laugh, to rock, to wiggle.

We long to hold you, touch you now

And listen to you giggle.

I’ll always be your mother.

He’ll always be your dad.

You will always be our child,

The child that we had.

But now you’re gone…but yet you’re here.

We’ll sense you everywhere.

You are our sorrow and our joy

There’s love in every tear.

Just know our love goes deep and strong.

We’ll forget you never -

The child we had, but never had,

And yet will have forever.

The Empty Womb (by Jill Lemming)
I carried you so lovingly,
within my gentle womb…
and little did I realize,
your life would end too soon.
I never got the chance to say
“I love you, little one”…
before I held you in my arms,
your life on earth was done.
The grief is indescribable,
to lose a child this way…
all the many hopes and dreams,
just vanished on that day.
I know I’ll see the sun shine bright
upon my baby’s face…
when I finally get to heaven,
all my pain will be erased.
We’ll soar the skies together,
as angels two by two…
we’ll have a sweet reunion;
a mother’s dream come true.

A Man in Grief (Author unknown)

It must be very difficult

To be a man in grief,

Since “men don’t cry” and “men are strong”

No tears can bring relief.

It must be very difficult

To stand up to the test

And field calls and visitors

So she can get some rest.

They always ask if she’s all right

And what she’s going through,

But seldom take his hand and ask,

“My friend, but how are you?”

He hears her crying in the night

And thinks his heart will break.

He dries her tears and comforts her,

But “stays strong” for her sake.

It must be very difficult

To start each day anew

And try to be so very brave–

He lost his baby too

A Lost Child, A Mother’s Prayer
Lord, the child you formed within my womb,
was taken suddenly from me…
and all that’s left is emptyness
and questions running free.
I would’ve been a good mother,
I would’ve loved this child so much…
I would have given all I have
for his precious tender touch.
I pray for strength and wisdom,
as I face these trying days…
Lord, help me understand the truth,
and trust in all Your ways.
I may not know the reason
my child is not with me…
but I know He’s safe in heaven,
with You, for eternity.
Please tell my child I love him,
and I’ll see him in the sky…
I’ll hold him close forever,
and sing him lullabyes.
No more tears or hardship,
no more pain to bear…
face to face I’ll see him;
just tell him I’ll be there.

Oh Pixie,

The Man in grief poem made me cry.

They are lovely.

xx

I thought it was really nice because the men are quite often the forgotten victims through all this.

Those poems really helped me when i was at my worst,

xxx

Thanks Pixie.

What touching poems - made me cry too. I’m going to copy and save them onto my computer. Where did you find them?

Love Kayleigh xx

Hi Kayleigh,

I found them one night i was on the internet just looking for people that had been through the same kind of thing i had. i felt so alone and thuoght i was the only person in the world that had ever gone through something like this. When i read those words they said everything i was thinking and feeling.

I thought i’d post them on here to help other people who were feeling the same way i did then.

I hope they help you.
