Hello, I just had an ectopic rupture 2 weeks ago, and had my right tube removed. I’m still getting a positive pregnancy test. Does anyone know an estimate of how long it may take for my hcg to drop to pre pregnancy levels? Thank you
Dear Muneca,
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and loss,
Following ectopic pregnancy, it can take a few weeks for hCG levels to fall to non pregnant levels, there is no set timeframe as it all depends on our unique physiology and how high the levels were to start with. I would suggest testing in another week’s time and if it still positive at that point seeking medical advice for reassurance.
Sending much love,
Karen x
