Found out on Friday I’m pregnant through IVF after an ectopic in Nov 22 and 4 failed transfers (1 before the ectopic and 3 since). Left tube removal. I’m now pregnant but have had a very small amount of light brown bleeding and some all over stomach pains (this could be because of the progesterone pessaries though). Am I out? I’ll contact my GP tomorrow of course but currently going mad. I want this so much and I so want our journey to have it’s happy ending.
Dear Emily,
Some women and people do experience some light bleeding during ear!y pregnancy and go on to have healthy pregnancies. I know it is difficult, but try not to worry. Contacting your GP tomorrow to be referred for a scan and/or blood tests is a good idea but please seek urgent medical advice with any worsening pain or bleeding. You can do this by contacting NHS 111 or attending your local A&E (if you are in the UK)
Sending much love and positive thoughts,
Karen x
