Uncertain ectopic

I’m 6 weeks pregnant. I had some bleeding and pain on my right side. Nothing seen on scan. hCG levels 800 and progesterone 20mmol/l. Bloods repeated 48 hours later only risen to 1200. Had more bloods today (5 days from original visit) and only 2061 hCG and still nothing seen on scan.

The bleeding is only spotting and the pain isn’t terrible.

The Doctors are not sure if it is ectopic at this stage so are continuing to monitor. I have another scan and bloods booked on Monday.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

My hcg levels on the friday were 726, two days later it fell to 638 then another two days later went up to around 800. As they were not doubling or going down consistently they believed it to be an ectopic pregnancy and I had my fallopian tube removed. The trans vaginal scan revealed that i was bleeding internally so they had to operate straight away.

Every case is different and so long as they are monitoring you closely you are in safe hands. I hope everything is ok for you x x

Your hcg levels are increasing each time so that is a positive sign. Hopefully you will see something on your scan on monday. I read somewhere that you donmt normally see anything on a scan until your hcg levels are between 1000-2000 x

I had another scan today and they found a gestation sac. Only 3.7mm in diameter but it was there in my uterus, so definitely not an ectopic.

As the sac is empty I have to go back in 3 weeks for a rescan to check the viability.

I wanted to post this so that anyone who is going through a PUL can read this and know there is some hope even if it’s all sounding very negative!
