So in may I had a ruptured ectopic which nearly resulted in me losing my life! Today I have just had surgery for a second ectopic. I remembered the pain so vividly that I went straight in today they managed to remove the pregnancy ( have been looking for it for the past two weeks) before it completley ruptured and kept my tube. But now I know that it will be scarred so next time will probably be another ectopic!
I’m so numb tonight wondering how on earth im going to get through this! It seems impossible xx
Hi Rach. I am so sorry to hear what you have been and are going through. I too have had 2 ectopics and recently had my right tube removed, my 1st ectopic was treated with methotrexate and was also on the right. I wish I could give you some words of comfort but i know that nothing anyone says can make it feel better. It’s unfair and it’s cruel. I hope you have people around you. Sending Love xx
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancies and losses. To experience one loss is difficult to deal with multiple losses is heartbreaking and my heart truly goes out to you.
You have been through a huge amount in such a short space of time and it is very normal to feel overwhelmed. From your words, I can imagine how frightening the experience must have been and I am sorry you have had to go though this.
Coming to terms with what has happened will take time. You are still in the early weeks of recovery and are physically and emotionally needing to heal. It is normal to feel pain and discomfort in these early days after surgery. Please do take it easy and look after yourself. Try not to do any lifting or straining especially over the next few weeks (at least six weeks after surgery).
You will need space to process what has happened and it can feel isolating. With us here at the Trust, we have been through similar experiences and, can understand how lonely it feels. You have friends here and please do continue to lean on us for as long as you need.
Sending much love and warm hugs,
Karen x
