I’m 3 months post op. I’d like to TTC next year but have a hormonal imbalance of high estrogen/low progesterone. I’ve had this since before the ectopic and am confident that’s why it was ectopic - as progesterone is needed to support implantation. I’m s*** scared of this happening again and am trying everything to balance things and lose some weight while I’m at it. Is there point TTC and anyone had any success with this particular imbalance?
Hi Maylee,
I am so sorry to hear that you have been through this ectopic pregnancy and loss. The experiences leave us with so many questions. Unfortunately, I am not medically qualified to comment on your specific situation. I encourage you to continue working with your medical providers.
Often, and this is difficult, we search for reasons for what happened, but many times there are none. There is nothing you did to cause, nor nothing to be done to prevent an ectopic pregnancy.
I wish I could provide you with more certainty. I encourage you to seek the answers you are looking for, but also give yourself time to heal. These boards are here for you throughout and are a safe space for your questions and thoughts.
With good wishes,
Michele

Hi, I don’t have my own hormone results but I had an ectopic last week. I’m still breastfeeding my first and I do wonder if my hormone levels have something to do with it. I am considering getting my hormone levels checked
