There is hope! (Positive post)

Hi all,

I had a miscarriage in March 2017 followed by ectopic pregnancy in July 2017. My ectopic was treated with MTX and my levels came back to 0 in roughly 6 weeks.

We then stopped trying for a while as we were too scared after ectopic. We started trying again in 2019 and had a chemical pregnancy in August. We stopped tryingn for a month and then conceived in November 2019. Our little rainbow baby was born in July 2020 and is currently in my arms while I type this. When I had my scan at roughly 5-6 weeks, I was told I conceived from my ectopic side.

I was so hopeless and in despair after our losses in 2017. I kept coming to this board to look for positive stories and wished that some day I might be posting one too. Well, here I am!

Just want to tell anyone who is looking for positivity after ectopic. Please don’t lose hope!!! Im happy to answer any questions if you have any. Lots of love and a tight virtual hug to you all strong ladies!!! xx

Hi nm2808,

Congratulations! Thank you for sharing your good news story. It is heartening to hear when there are happier outcomes to those of us on this ectopic journey.

Sending you very warm wishes,

Michele

Really needed to read this, after. an ectopic last year and a miscarriage a couple of months ago, so thank you for sharing!

Did you find your periods different after your miscarriage? My last one was only at about 5-6 weeks and my cycles have been super short the 3 months since and not got pregnant so wondering if my body is still adjusting back to normal?

Thanks

Hi Pammy3

Im so sorry to hear about your losses. I only had one period between my miscarriage and ectopic which was a bit heavier than usual. Then ectopic happened which was treated with MTX. After that my periods were very light, 3-4 days long and mostly brown for roughly 4-5 months. After that my periods got normal (red bleeding and normal 5-7 days long). But I still had an odd month or two when I had lighter than normal period. I used to google about it frantically and put myself in a lot of worry. Please be gentle to yourself and don’t Google a lot. Sending positive thoughts your way! x
