I had a miscarriage in March 2017 followed by ectopic pregnancy in July 2017. My ectopic was treated with MTX and my levels came back to 0 in roughly 6 weeks.
We then stopped trying for a while as we were too scared after ectopic. We started trying again in 2019 and had a chemical pregnancy in August. We stopped tryingn for a month and then conceived in November 2019. Our little rainbow baby was born in July 2020 and is currently in my arms while I type this. When I had my scan at roughly 5-6 weeks, I was told I conceived from my ectopic side.
I was so hopeless and in despair after our losses in 2017. I kept coming to this board to look for positive stories and wished that some day I might be posting one too. Well, here I am!
Just want to tell anyone who is looking for positivity after ectopic. Please don’t lose hope!!! Im happy to answer any questions if you have any. Lots of love and a tight virtual hug to you all strong ladies!!! xx
Oh, you have no idea how much your post has made me smile. Huge congratulations on the safe arrival of your rainbow baby and thank you so much for taking the time to write this and give hope to so many.
Send much love and an extra cuddle for the little one,
Karen x

This honestly made me well up! I’m so pleased for you. I think it’s really hard to explain to people the emotions that you go through and the fears for trying again, and have been seeking some positive stories myself and hearing yours has really helped.
It’s definitely a rollercoaster of being at peace with whatever the future holds and still having some fear so the happy stories help!
Many many congratulations. It’s so great to hear such positive news. I just wanted to ask you that did you undergo some treatment or tests like hsg or blood works… I am in the same condition and planning to go now for hsg.
Thanks! I didn’t undergo any treatment. We stopped trying for a while and gave ourselves break. I asked my consultant if they could offer me HSG test. She said it isn’t needed as the tube usually heals itself with MTX treatment.
I hope and pray you get positive news from your HSG and you get to hold your rainbow baby soon. x
Reading this post made me smile and feel hopeful for the future. I am 30 years old and I have had two miscarriages and one (current) ectopic that is dropping rapidly now and seems to resolve on its own. However thinking of conceiving again makes me so scared but we don’t wanna wait for longer then needed. I’m sending baby dust and health to all women trying to conceive.
Thank you very much for this positive post. It is much needed. Ectopic pregnancy is extremely scary by itself. It is such a breeze when there’s a good story out there after it.
Thank you for your positive post and congratulations. It was so helpful to read your hope!
I’ve had two miscarriages last year and had an ectopic last week. I don’t have any children, I’m not sure what is worse, the thought of not being a mum or coping with the anxiety of being pregnant again.
Can you tell me how you managed to cope with the anxiety once pregnant again? We are giving it a break for a while to heal and focus on each other.
