So I’ve just found out I’m pregnant again I had an etopic back in January 2017. I took a digital test that said I’m 1-2 weeks very early stages and II have my first appointment tomorrow but I’m worried sick it’s gonna be another etopic baby… Every movement, twinge and cramp I feel is stressing me out and I’ve been getting like a light pain on one side. Last time I didn’t find out I was pregnant til the day it raptured so I’m not sure If this is normal symptoms for pregnancy or Is it possible it could be another etopic baby.?. I only have one tube left and it is damaged so I am in high risk of it happening again… please if anyone has been or is in a similar situation and has some advice. I’m so scared I’m gonna lose another baby …
Dear Jesse933,
Whispered congratulations on your pregnancy,
After an ectopic pregnancy, finding we are pregnant again can be a mix of emotions and I can completely understand your feeling nervous. It is perfectly normal to feel scared after the ordeal you have endured. I also felt twinges and aches after my ectopic pregnancy, particularly when I next felt pregnant. My mind started racing and I was only really able to relax to some degree after my early scan. It is a nerve-wracking time and you have a friend here who understands how you are feeling.
Speaking from UK medical practice and standards, usually doctors carry out an internal transvaginal scan at around six weeks with subsequent pregnancies after an ectopic. This is because there is a reasonable chance of seeing an embryo around this six week mark. It is good news that you have sought early medical advice.
Whilst I do not wish to alarm you, I sadly have to remind you that if you experience any unusual bleeding, abdominal pain, shoulder tip pain, bladder or bowel problems or feel dizzy and unwell to seek urgent medical advice.
Sending much love and positive thoughts,
Karen x

Hi Karen thank you for your message! I just had my first scan and I feel so much more relaxed after it they said they could see a yolk sack in my uterus so everything is looking good so far, I asked if I could rule out an ectopic and she said it’s still too early but so far so good. She thinks I’m roughly 5 weeks!! I have a cyst which is what is causing the twinges and cramps. I’m starting to feel really positive about it All now
When I read posts like this I feel like I can relate even though I’m not ttc, can only imagine the anxiety and the relief.
Sending positive vibes across the ether for you.

It’s comforting that there is other women out there that can relate to how I’m feeling. That’s what I love the most about these forums i felt so alone til I found the ectopic trust xx
