Dear LTQKVS,
Whispered congratulations on your pregnancy,
I would certainly advise having an early pregnancy scan at around 6 weeks prior to travel. I know this may be frustrating with your plans, however it would be the safest option.
Ectopic pregnancy is an ordeal in the first place, let alone being in a country where you may not understand the medical system or language. If you develop symptoms and need treatment that isn’t surgery such as methotrexate, you would likely be expected to stay and not advised to fly until your hCG levels were back to pre pregnancy levels, and in some cases that could be up to one month.
Sending much love and positive thoughts,
Karen x
