Hi all so I’m 3 days over due on my period I’ve done two tests both which have a faint but visible line! Today I went to the doctors where she ‘examined’ me. Didn’t check my urine to see if i was actually pregnant as a confirmation and wasn’t going to put me forward for an early scan even though I’d had a previous EP in 2015 had my DD (dear daughter) in 2017. Anyway is this what is supposed to happen I feel as if me being concerned about a repeat EP was brushed aside as if I was being over concerned. I’ve got a scan for 19th Jan (Currently 4wks 2 days).

I know what a worrying time this can be and am sorry to hear that you did not feel heard during your appointment with your GP. As you’ve had a previous ectopic, you are also able to contact the EPU directly to schedule a scan if you are concerned. With the current date of your scan, it seems your GP has placed you at the six week mark, which is when the early scan usually occurs.
However, it is also very important to listen to your concerns and look after yourself. It’s important to monitor for any symptoms, and you may consider speaking to the EPU, your GP or another GP regarding having a urine or blood test.
