Pains on side of tube removed

Hi all. I’m new here. My name is Emily

We are TTC. Implantation has not happened yet. I do not know if we conceived. However, I am having som pretty bad pains on the left side which was the tube they removed. The pain isn’t “severe” but it’s about a 7 on a scale of 1-10. It’s going into my thigh. I also feel crampy like I am getting my period.

Has anyone else experienced this or know what’s going on? It hurts so bad. I do not have a doctor, as I don’t have insurance yet and am new to the area I live in.

Dear Emily,

Experiencing some pain after an ectopic pregnancy is normal as your body has been through a great deal over the last few months. The pain may be due to adhesions (scar tissue that binds two parts of the body together) which form and take some time to settle. Your body may be preparing to ovulate and many women experience ovulation pain when they did not before their ectopic pregnancy - including myself. You also may have a heightened perception because of the sad loss that you have had to go through.

If you think you are due on your period, I would recommend completing a home pregnancy test kit. If it positive and you are experiencing pain, I would advise seeking urgent medical advice. If it is negative, repeat in one week but if your pain persists or worsens, again I would urge you to seek medical advice.

Sending much love,

Karen x
