Hi all, I had my first ectopic last July that resulted in surgery and the removal of my right tube. This March I had my second ectopic which ruptured and meant the removal of my left tube. I have had 3 full cycles since my last surgery and am in the last day or two of my fourth cycle. Up until now my cycles have been normal enough apart from the odd twinge (which I know is to be expected), I have definitely noticed my physical recovery progressing quicker after this surgery than it did after the last. My AF is due tomorrow and for the past 7-10 days I have had on/off very mild cramping (like you would get at the start of your period) and sharper pains that seem to be alternating from my lower right side to my lower left side.
I am going to make a check-up appointment with the doctor but was just curious to know if anyone else has experienced anything similar? Thank you all in advance or your responses
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancies and losses, it must have been such a difficult time and my heart truly goes out to you.
Sadly I am not medically trained so cannot give you specific advice on your symptoms, however I can provide general advice.
Experiencing some pain after an ectopic pregnancy is normal as your body has been through a great deal over the last few months. The pain may be due to adhesions (scar tissue that binds two parts of the body together) which form and take some time to settle. Your body may be preparing to ovulate and many women experience ovulation pain when they did not before their ectopic pregnancy - including myself. You also may have a heightened perception because of the sad loss that you have had to go through.
You are right to get checked out by your Dr and seek medical advice,
Sending much love,
Karen x
