Pain in tube ttc

Hello, we have just started ttc after expropic in may. Since then I’ve had pain in my right tube after treatment of MTX. HSG shows it’s blocked but consultant gave me go ahead to try again.

I’ve had pain at the ectopic site since treatment always worsening when I’m due on period and ovulating. I was Wondering if anyone else had this and if they got pregnant did it just go away or did you still feel it?

I ask as I’m currently on the emotional roller coaster that is ttc post ectopic and I hoped I might be pregnant but then got period pains. Still not on but getting pain in my right tube and scared it’ll happen again. Obviously a pregnancy test will tell me for sure and I really thought it was period pain but then I got to thinking about when that pain might disappear for good

Hi Nat81,

I am so sorry to hear that you have suffered an ectopic pregnancy and loss. I know that resuming ttc can be an anxious time for many women. It was for me, as well. It is very possible and quite normal to feel ovulation pains, following an ectopic, even if you had not felt them before. It could be due to scar tissue or even just heightened sensations and awareness of pain.

As I’m not medically qualified, I cannot comment on your particular situation, but I encourage you to keep a pain diary, noting when the pain occurs, where it is, intensity, and any treatments that help relieve it. This could be helpful to share at your next GP or doctors appointment.

May is still very recent and you may still be recovering from the ectopic pregnancy, both physically and emotionally. Please take all the time you need to feel okay to resume ttc. There is no set time frame to resume, and your emotional health is so important. While the anxiety might never fully go away, you may find waiting a bit gives your body more time to heal and to recover. No matter what, please continue to be kind to yourself.

We are here for you for as long as you need.

With good wishes,

Michele
