Pain after hcg returns to 0

Hi,

My levels have just gone down to non pregnancy levels after being on expectant management for around 4 weeks.

I am now experiencing sharp pains in both sides and my chest and also dull pains in my back and shoulders. It’s not excruciating and comes and goes.

Can someone please tell me if this is normal?

I only bled at the start of my ectopic before I found out what it was and haven’t bled since. Could this be my body now absorbing all the tissue and getting ready for my first period bleed ?

Really anxious there’s something else going on!

Dear rs,

I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy loss,

I would say that abdominal pains are normal post ectopic pregnancy, chest of shoulder pains can be normal after surgery but as you have not had surgery, I would get these pains checked out by a medical professional just to be on the safe side.

Sending much love,

Karen x
