I’m so worried. My levels went down to 0 back in November. My period came at the beginning of December, and again in January.
My period was meant to come on the 19th of February but is now 4 days late. I get dull pain where methotrexate was injected, which was where the ectopic was.
Is it normal for my period to start after treatment was done and now it stopped. I don’t have money to see gynaecologist, because they’re really expensive where I am, so I’m looking for answers online if this normal.
Dear Faith-no-fear,
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy loss,
It is completely normal for periods to take a few cycles to get into a rhythm that is more normal for you following ectopic pregnancy. Doctors also consider a cycle up to 42 days to be normal too. If there is any chance of pregnancy, we would advise completing a pregnancy test.
If it has been over 42 days since your last period, we would advise seeking medical advice.
Sending much love,
Karen x
