I hope people don’t mind me posting this, but this is the sort of thing I searched the internet for last year.
I had an ectopic pregnancy in January last year. It was picked up quite quickly at around 5-6 weeks but the doctors still said I would need surgery to remove my right tube. Fortunately, the surgeon managed to save the tube (as I think my left tube wasn’t in great shape).
Devastated by what had happened, I came to this forum for support which was fantastic. I was so worried I wouldn’t fall pregnant or that if I did, the same would happen again. I searched the internet for weeks for success stories and promised myself, if I ever managed to get pregnant again and go on to have a baby, I would post on this forum.
This Monday, 14th February 2022, I gave birth to the most beautiful baby girl. It took us a few months to conceive her after the ectopic, and lots of stress, but we got there in the end and now I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.
My advice to anyone who is going through something terrible right now and who is frightened like I was, is to be kind to yourself and take your time to process what has happened. Lean on your friends and family and know that good things can happen
I hope this message in some way gives someone the little bit of hope that I was searching for last year x
Thankyou so much, this is exactly what I needed to hear! I’m so sorry for what you went through, and am really happy & relieved you had success in the end. I’ve had 2 ectopic ruptures, now having counselling for PTSD, but we’re trying again and it is absolutely petrifying. Definitely need to see good stories to try and keep positive.
Congratulations on the safe arrival of your beautiful baby girl. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this post, you can already see how much hope it brings.
Sending much love and an extra cuddle for the little one,
Karen x

Thank you so much for sharing your successful story. I am currently going through my first ever pregnancy which turned out to be ectopic. I was so devastated and only saw the dark side of every statistic I could find about my chances of a successful pregnancy after an ectopic. But hearing your story (and other successful stories on this forum) gives me hope. Thank you so much for taking the time to tell your beautiful story 4 days after the birth of your little angel!
