Hey girls…
I just wanted to ask after your ectopic pregnancy are you coming on your menstrual cycle monthly?
After removing my left tube I came on my 1st period in 4 weeks. Now im overdue by a week (5weeks). I know I’m not pregnant as we havnt had intercourse, I am just getting worried.
AngelP
Dear AngelP,
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and loss,
Periods can take a few months to settle into a rhythm that is more normal for us, mine did too.
Periods can be delayed for a number of reasons including stress or even (as surprising as it may sound) excessive exercise or weight loss. Doctors normally consider menstrual cycles of between 23-42 days to be within normal parameters. I would suggest keeping a diary for a few months and you may see your periods becoming more like your usual pattern.
Sending much love,
Karen x
