How difficult is it to detect an ectopic on ultrasound

Hi there,

I’m sorry to hear what you’re going through. I too have suffered ectopic pregnancies. I had my left tube removed three weeks ago. I believe the scans are 100 percent reliable. The internal scan is better. It shows more detail. I was only 5 weeks along and with the internal scan they could see a lot of liquid in my abdomen and there was no baby in my uterus even though my hcg was 4000. They knew straight away it was an ectopic.

Don’t worry. Scans are so reliable. If you feel something is not right stand up for yourself. Trust your instincts.

You will get pregnant. I fell pregnant after my first ectopic straight away and I’ve a beautiful healthy two year old.

Take care.
