Hi,

Has anyone been through a heterotopic pregnancy? We are going through one right now and I am desperately trying to find some support for my wife so she can talk to people who understand or have been through the same thing. If anyone has any ideas or can offer any support we would really appreciate it.

I am so sorry to hear that you and your wife are going through this.

Heterotopic pregnancies are rare so we do not hear from many women who experience them.

I presume your wife is being closely monitored and although I have never experienced this, I have experienced ectopic pregnancy and she is more than welcome to post any concerns on the boards. Alternatively we do have support via email if she or you would prefer, address below.

I am so sorry that your wife is going through this. I had a l heterotropic pregnancy at the end of July. I lost my other tube after (this was my third ectopic). Unfortunately it wasn’t good news for me I’m afraid I also miscarried the other pregnancy about a week later. I am praying that you and your wife have a much better outcome.

Hi there,

Thank you both for your kind messages. It is not a club you ever want to join but it is reassuring to know we are not entirely alone. We have our scan tomorrow to see how the remaining baby is doing so we are praying for a heartbeat just now. I’ll pass on the details to my wife and let you know how we get on.
