Help

So this is going to be a little long but need to give all the background… So I had an ectopic pregnancy and was given methotrexate on the 9th of may. After what seemed like forever I bled finally in June for 5 days, I had my period 9th July, and my cycles are only usually 25 days. So as it stands im 3 days late at the moment and have gone in to a world of panic, for a few reasons, a) im scared of it happening again, but my main reason, my partner actually left me 5 weeks after our loss. I’ve continued to see him, and have clearly slept with him while we re not togehrr but I just feel so daft, 7 months of ttc and the baby was ectopic, what’s the chances of not actually trying and falling?! I just wondered if it’s usual to be a little late?

Hey,

Try not to panic as for a lot of us our cycles went haywire after the ectopic. I’d do a test just to keep your mind at ease. If you’re a week or so late and still getting bfns then maybe go for a blood test. But just being late is not unusual so try not to worry too much. Look after yourself

I would test to put your mind at ease, however it took me around 3 months for my cycles to become somewhat regular. If you are pregnant I would consult a doctor straight away as they do recommend waiting 3 months after methotrexate before trying again. X
