Hello,
I had my right fallopian tube removed on the 24th of April due to an ectopic pregnancy. I had bleeding for around 5 days following this then stopped. Fast forward one week I have had quite a lot of bleeding today and wondering if this could be my period? (2 weeks & 2 days after surgery). My hcg levels were very low when I got the surgery they were sitting only about 40.
Thanks.
Dear glambi,
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy loss,
Most people find their period arrives anytime between 4-10 weeks after surgery, however as your hCG levels were low to begin with, it is likely that this is your first period.
We have more information on periods following ectopic pregnancy treatment on our website which I have copied here and you may find useful
