Not sure if this is the right board to post on but here goes, so I had an ectopic pregnancy earlier this year and was treated with methotrexate. First month ttc again after the 12 week wait and I fell pregnant again. Unfortunately started to bleed a few days later so it was an early loss (chemical pregnancy).
I’ve done some reading up on early losses and it is said that it can be a number of reasons for it happening and one being that it could of been a pregnancy outside of the uterus such as an ectopic, which has got me worried that this was another especially because I still have the tube that the ectopic was in.
Like I have said further up i know they can be a number of reasons for early losses but after having my ectopic and now this loss I can’t help feeling that it was another that got stuck in the same tube.
I’m now feeling that i will not concieve succefully and scared that I may face another ectopic in the future or even if it was not an ectopic that i have just had then they maybe something else wrong too that contributed to me having this early loss.
Dear Naomi,
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and losses, experiencing one loss is difficult, to deal with multiple losses is heartbreaking and my heart truly goes out to you.
Sadly early pregnancy loss such as chemical pregnancy and miscarriages are common. I am so sorry that you have experienced this so soon after you recent loss. This loss didn’t seem to have any of the common features of an ectopic pregnancy, so as easy as it sounds, I would try not to overly think about it being another ectopic. Try to concentrate on being kind to yourself and giving yourself time to grieve and recover both physically and emotionally.
We will be here for you for as long as you need,
Sending much love,
Karen x
