Doctor can't find 2nd tube after ectopic pregnancy

Hi everyone,

Hope you are doing well and recovering fine. I just had a fallopian tube removed after an ectopic pregnancy. The worst part is the Dr told me he couldn’t see the other tube. Has this ever happened to anyone, could my second tube be hidden or what could be a possible explanation? He did recommend that we could do a dye test at a later stage. But I’m very nervous to find out it doesn’t exist.

Hi MrsMt,

I’m so sorry to hear that you have experienced this ectopic pregnancy and loss. It is both a physical and emotional trauma which we experience, and I encourage you to be very kind to yourself right now. While I’m not medically qualified to comment upon your situation, I encourage you to follow up with your GPs on the best next steps for you. These boards are filled with men and women who are, unfortunately, united in their shared ectopic experiences. Please know that we are here for you anytime and as long as needed.

With good wishes,

Michele
