I went for a scan on 29th March and discovered an eptopic pregnancy, which was managed conservatively. My hormone level was at 2 on 25th April and I was classified as not pregnant and discharged from being under hospital care.
I had a period start a week later on 2nd May. Is this classified as period 1 or is this the bleed after the eptopic that doesn’t count as a period? I’m a bit confused.
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and loss,
If this is your first bleed throughout your ectopic pregnancy then this is not a period but a bleed as your hCG levels have lowered.
If you had a bleed early on and are now having another bleed, then yes, this is probably your first period.
I hope this helps,
Sending much love,
Karen x

I bleed pretty much the entire time during my hormone levels dropping then had a week of no bleeding and then what I now understand to be my first period.
