I had an ectopic pregnancy last September. I was 9weeks and 5 days with no pain. I went in to have my first ultrasound and the next day I was having emergency surgery to remove the baby and my right tube.
I’ve had a period every month except this one.
I am now 12 days late and tested negative 3 times with at home tests.
I started to bleed today, I’m not sure if it’s spotting or my period. I haven’t bled enough to soak a pad completely. I have also only been cramping on my right side.
I have an appointment this coming Tuesday but my mind is in overdrive.
Dear Michah,
Doctors normally consider menstrual cycles of between 23-42 days to be within normal parameters. I am glad you have an appointment with your doctor. Although I do not wish to alarm you, I would advise to seek urgent medical advice with any worsening symptoms.
Sending much love,
Karen x
