Bruising

I had a diagnostic laparoscopy 14 days ago followed by one dose of methotrexate. I had bleeding since which has now reduced and day 7 bloods looked like it was working. Since yesterday I have noticed a bruise on the ectopic side- is this normal? I am otherwise feeling well…

Dear Tilly,

I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy loss.

Unfortunately we are not able to provide personalised medical advice and bruising can be caused by so many reasons. Bruising and discomfort is normal, especially If it is by a surgical incision site, but if this is new or concerning you, we cannot safely advise, I would suggest getting reviewed by a doctor or if you are in the UK, a nurse or practitioner in your GP surgery.

Sending much love,

Karen x
