anyone else get pelvic pain?

I had an ectopic in Dec 14, right salpingotomy ( saved tube) I was told I had pelvic adhesions which they removed during surgery. Once surgical pain settled I was doing ok over last month pain has started to come back, more constant and increasing intensity. Not sure what to do other than take pain killers. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Any advice greatfull x

Hi,

Like you i also had an ectopic Dec 14 i had my right tube removed and was told my left looks healthy!! I have also been experiencing pain but on my left side although it does seem to be around time of ovulation an period!! I have started making note of when these pains occur!! I am thinking though of speaking to my dr with the pain being on my good side it really worries me!! Is the pain you have quite persistent?

Sorry to hear of your loss!!

Hi emma,

Thankyou for your reply!

I have aches and twinges most of the time, but they seam to intensify around ovulation and period. Realised today is around ovulation so probably why my pain imcreased over last few days!. I think its a good idea to chart when im getting the pain so the dr can see a pattern. Hopefully help them to give more acurate opinion! All very confusing and scary…

Its good that they told you ur other tube looks healthy!!

Hi H84!!

I was due on my period 14th Mar and been experiencing pelvic pains im in hope, that it is defo down to that and no further problems!! It does seem a common thing though from what i have read on this site!! Yeah they told me it was healthy but not much else really!! I would just love to know the cause i think it makes it harder the not knowing.

Did they tell you much after your surgery!!

Hi,

They said my other tube was’nt very healthy thats why they saved my right tube where my ectopic was. As i had adhesions, they removed these during surgery. So also thinking my adhesions maybe reforming unfortunatly… All very scary! Have you got a follow up appointment? I had one in january and i go back again in april

Hi!!

I have everything crossed for you that they cause you no further problems, an your right it is all so scary I am trying to stay positive but it is so hard!!! How are you coping with everything? No i had no follow up appointment unfortunately and really feel like i could have done with one as at the time everything happened so quickly there are things now that i would love to know!! I did go an see my dr a couple of weeks after surgery but they just couldnt tell me much!!

Thanks emma, yes im trying to stay positive too,as im sure worrying wont help. Just easier said than done! The only reason i was given a follow up was because my other tube did not look healthy so i was sent for a hsg. Back in april to see there opinion on the results. I was told on the day my tubes were open but looked inflammed so puts me at high risk of another one unfortunatly.

Good luck with your journey, a helthy tube is good, a lady at works daughter had an ectopic pregnancy and has gone on to have 3 healthy pregnancys!! So there are lots of positive storeys  x
