I am sad to be making my first post here but also grateful for this space…
Nearly three weeks ago we got the news, and had the emergency the surgery, an experience I am sure many of you are familiar with. I am the partner of a fantastic brave woman who is now recovering at home while I am back at work now she no longer needs caring for 24h a day, though I struggling with waves of emotion especially today as we should be at our first midwife appointment right now.
I have no specific questions but wanted to express some of my sadness into the ether in the hopes of a bit of temporary relief. Thank you for being here.
My partner was struggling with what to do with me as I was up and down and he just wanted to fix it x I found the times he said nothing , just “I love you” were the most soothing words x
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and loss, I too found dates such as planned midwife appointments and the due date difficult to deal with.
Keep an open dialogue with your partner and share your feelings with her too. I personally found it easier to explain my feelings when my partner was open and honest about his with me.
Ectopic pregnancy can make us feel very isolated and we will be here for you and your partner for as long as you need.
Sending much love and warm hugs,
Karen x
