Hi all,
I am 6 weeks pregnant and it’s been confirmed as in the right place which is great. Found out on Tuesday it was in my uterus but couldn’t see a heart beat yet as was only 5 weeks something!!
I had an ectopic and salpingectomy (removal of right tube) in October last year 2020. Then had a miscarriage in March. Weirdly experiencing some fleeting pain on my right side where the tube was removed. Can’t work out if it’s due to first trimester constipation (sorry tmi) or adhesions. Or maybe normal stretching etc.
Trying not to worry that it could be start of miscarriage because when I’ve miscarried before it’s always been pain all over, not specific. So I’m just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience?
Will be having another scan in 10 days to check everything is ok so wanted a bit of reassurance from people who have been through the same grim experience!
Dear mowakasha,
Whispered congratulations on your pregnancy. That’s great news so far. It can also be normal to feel twinges during early pregnancy. I did too and I know how unsettling it can be after we have experienced loss. If course, I do have to mention that as pain is so subjective, If you are concerned, please seek medical advice.
I wish I had more tips to make the time fly by until your next scan but I know how nerve wracking it is.
Try to keep busy, work, box sets, reading. I will keep everything crossed for for and am sending positive thoughts.
Karen x

Thanks Karen. Everything has calmed down on that side and I feel absolutely dreadful today, so sick and tired! I feel like I drank two bottles of wine but obviously haven’t even had a sip so all good signs! So fingers crossed x
