Hi everyone I was diagnosed with an ectopic of unknown location back in april and was treated with methotrexate. Which was successful. I found out on Saturday past that iam.pregnant again. Very early days going by the last date of my period I’m only 4 weeks and 5 days.
Was at my local. Epau yesterday got my hcg bloods taken they are at 325.7. Had an internal but pregnancy is not visible. I have spent the last 2 days crying as I’m getting a constant pain on my lower right side. The pain feels the exact same as last time but only it’s now on my right. Tried telling the nurse this but she said it could be my bowel. Deep down I think it’s another ectopic and to be honest I don’t know how I will cope. I just hope they can treat it quickly.
Would love to hear from anyone else tl who’s facing a similar situation or who has in the past.
I was treated with methotrexate for PUL on 1st March and am currently 6 weeks pregnant with my first scan on Thursday so I can relate to how you feel, for me my lack of symptoms worries me as I don’t feel pregnant. It’s a horrible waiting time. It would be too early to see anything on a scan at the moment so hopefully the next time you will get more positive news. The pain could be a multitude of things so try and stay positive.
Thanks for replying nicola. Fingers crossed your little one is in the right place. I don’t have any pregnancy symptoms either although out of everything the pain is so familiar and it pretty much is there all the time. I knew the minute I felt it that it wasn’t good. I’m back in first thing tomorrow morning to give blood to see if the hcg has doubled.It could just be me over thinking things. I will be thinking of you on Thursday all the best of luck xx
Good luck for today - let me know how you get on. I had a cyst with my PUL and they said the pain I was having could have been from the cyst. I have my fingers crossed for you. X
Hi nicola got my hcg back and it’s at 800 so has more than doubled
They said it’s within the margin where they’d like it to be. Although I’m still to prepare myself as I’m not out of the woods yet. So I now have a scan on Friday morning so they’re hoping to see something like a yolk sack but are not a 100% sure that they will. So Friday is the big day xx
Yay! Well that’s a great start. With my PUL my levels just hoovered. Hopefully Friday will bring more good news for you. I have my fingers crossed for you. It’s such a difficult time waiting between appointments but I hope you can try and stay positive. Xx
Let’s hope so. Yeah the waiting is the hardest and then not knowing what to do with work etc. Will be thinking of you tomorrow. Let know how it all goes xx
All went well - it’s in the right place and we say the heartbeat. I’m measuring slightly behind but apparently that’s nothing to be concerned about. I feel relieved but wil feel better after the 12 week as that’s the biggie.
Ahhh amazing news!! That’s so great to hear. Yeah I know what you mean the 12 week is important but hey that’s brilliant. Atleast it’s given you reassurance that the little one is in the right place and is doing fine. Do you not have to see them now until late the 12 weeks?
I am sorry to hear you are going through what is a very worrying time.
I am in the same position, 4 weeks pregnant, acute pain in same side as previous ectopic where I was treated with methotrexate in Dec 15 and had a scan yesterday but too early to see anything, so inconclusive. I had bloods taken and my hgc is 297. Waiting to go back tomorrow to see if they are going in the right direction and then another scan next week I just hate the waiting and not knowing, expecting the worse and petrified that I will have to go through the awful experience of another ectopic.

Hi nicola had another internal and they seen the start of the yolk sac forming. They also found a 2cm cyst on my left ovary but said it was normal. Could be the reason for the pains.
So booked in next Friday so by next week they’re hoping to see the foetal heartbeat. My hcg doubled again they went from 800 to 1600 so they’re doubling well. Although still not out of the woods yet.
Cfer I understand how your feeling I was all over the place this week. I have everything crossed for you that your hcg doubles. I was so nervous yesterday that when they where scanning me they had to tell me to slow down my breathing I was so nervous that and my bladder kept filling so quickly as I was so nervous kind of embarrassing too lol. i am so happy for you guys! i recently just had a ectopic. my right tube and baby was removed July 19
im currently on my first cycle now and when it stops i plan on ttc.
im so nervous , however you all give me hope.
i pray everyday and night that my left tube is clear and that i will be able to be in the same position as you ladies and never hear the words you uterus is empty again
That’s great Danielle. Really good news and sounds as though it’s going the way it should. They told me a I had a corpus lutem cyst which is quite normal and should disappear on its on.

Aww jessroller hang in there as it’s diffently possible. I didn’t expect to be pregnant as quick as I did and was full of nerves the whole time amd still am.Never give up on hope xx
Nicolas hoping the time flies in for you keep me updated. Yeah they told me the cyst provides hormones for the pregnancy and that is why I could have been getting some pain. My pain as literally calmed down alot now I get the odd cramp but nothing like last week thankfully xx
Thanks Danielle. Just want to get to my 12 week scan and see everything is ok again. I still have very little in the way of symptoms and I’m a natural worrier but I’m trying to stay positive. Keep me updated also.

Same for us jessroll I could always tell when I was ovulating as I got pains so that was my indicator but hey I pretty much just winged it. I thought it wouldn’t happen until later in the year or the newyear so I was in total shock. I had read so many negative things about being treated with methotrexate and ttc after. Xx
Yeah Nicola I’m the same I don’t have very many symptoms either although I ended up taking a stomach bug last Friday night was awful thought I was going to have to go to a@e but was able to stay hydrated. I’ve now broke out in hives all over my legs. Don’t know what’s going on my luck wouldn’t be the greatest. Will be thinking of you all the way leading up to the next scan xx
